Upgrade & Downgrade

Upgrading

  1. Go to the Billing page in Alliance Studio
  2. Click Manage in Stripe Portal
  3. Select Update plan
  4. Choose your new tier and billing cycle
  5. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.

Downgrading

  1. Follow the same steps as upgrading
  2. Select a lower tier
  3. Confirm the change

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to all features of your current tier until then.

What Happens to Your Data?

When you downgrade:

  • No data is deleted. Your roster, events, contributions, and everything else stays intact.
  • Features above your new tier become read-only. You can still view them but cannot create new items or edit existing ones.
  • If your roster exceeds the new tier’s member cap, existing members are not removed. You just cannot add new members until you’re within the cap.

When you upgrade:

  • All features of the new tier become available immediately.
  • AI credit limit increases immediately (credits already used in the current period are preserved).

Switching Between Monthly and Annual

You can switch from monthly to annual billing (or vice versa) through the Stripe Customer Portal. Annual billing saves up to 20%.

Trial to Paid

If you’re on the 14-day Strategist trial:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Upgrade and choose your desired tier
  3. Enter payment details in Stripe Checkout
  4. Your trial ends and your paid subscription begins immediately

If you don’t upgrade before the trial ends, your alliance automatically drops to the Free tier. No charge is made.
